Visual Arts

Yuluma Primary School

Students at Yuluma PS have the opportunity to develop their skills, ideas, understanding and appreciation of visual arts through engaging in the visual arts program.

Years PP to 6 students attend weekly classes where they create artworks using a range of mediums. Throughout the year art projects include drawing, painting, print making, sculpture, ceramics and textiles.

Students have the opportunity to enter local and state wide art awards.

The use of resources such as the interactive whiteboard and iPads enhance students learning and access to programs and materials provided by major art galleries around the world.

Artworks that children have created both individually and as a group project are displayed around the school. Students’ work is exhibited in the school grounds, the school foyer, the art room, Principal’s office and classrooms.

Students’ achievements are regularly recognised at assemblies.
